May 29, 2020 - Phase 3 Update

The health and safety of our customers and employees is very important to us. We want everyone to feel comfortable and safe as we continue to navigate these uncertain times. Therefore, the following guidelines will be in place until further notice:

  • Our lobbies will remain closed, except for scheduled appointments.
  • We will continue to operate with normal business hours.
  • We will continue to monitor the situation and send updates as needed.

Everyone at First Community Bank and Trust would like to thank our customers for their cooperation and making the best of the current situation. Things are running smoothly and everyone is finding their way to bank with us while our lobbies have been temporarily closed.

We thank you all! Please stay safe.

Safety and Security

Please be aware and very cautious with emails, text messages and phone calls. Cyber criminals are using social engineering tactics to deliver malicious software:

  • Cybercriminals exploit the public's fear and uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 virus and use news headlines to entice victims to clink on links initiating malware-laden downloads
  • Fraudsters may inject eSkimming malware onto donation-based websites. It is possible this type of threat will re-emerge as the COVID-19 pandemic's impact increases and virus-related donation sites appear.
  • Cybercriminals are also exploiting COVID-19-themed phone call phishing, known as vishing, and text message phishing, also called smishing
  • With social distancing and self-isolation individuals increasingly shift their shopping and banking activities to the online environment, cybercriminals will increase targeting eCommerce sites hoping to capitalize on the traffic increase within these channels.
  • Cybercrime and state-sponsored actors will continue to take advantage of the uncertainty and fear surrounding COVID-19. As long as COVID-19 remains in the news and the spread of the pandemic continues, threat actors will find new ways to exploit the situation.
